Within Church360° Members, you are able to add individual relationships in a person’s profile record, such as Child, Parent, Spouse, Guardian, Ward, Grandparent, Sibling, and Grandchild. These relationships can be added even if the person is not in the same household as other family members.
While searching for a name, you have the ability to create a new person record. When you being typing in their name, the drop-down will show the text “New Person:” next to their name. Pressing enter after typing the name only creates the person record. You will still need to click “Add” to add the relationship.
A household is a collection of people who live together. These people are not necessarily related. For example, a friend of the family may be temporarily staying in the family’s home. The friend would not be considered a family member, but they would be considered a member of that household.
Family relationships, however, don’t require people to be in the same household. For example, if a woman moves out of her parents’ home, she is still her parent’s daughter and should be indicated as such in Church360° Members, but she would be listed in her own household. On her person record in Church360° Members, her parents will still be listed as her parents. Likewise, on her parents’ records, she will still be listed as their daughter.
