Improvements Made to Reconciliation, Transaction Memos, and General Ledger Report

Apr 30, 2020 4:30:00 PM

Our development team has been hard at work making a number of improvements to Church360° Ledger that all came as direct feedback from you, our customers. Improvements have been made to summarize Asset accounts and add a filter in the Reconciliation view, expand memos on transactions, and improve the filters on the General Ledger report.

Line Items Summarized to Asset Account in Reconciliation

In the accounts view in Church360° Ledger, we split the transactions to show the different accounts for all transactions. This provides the necessary details to identify the purpose of each transaction. That is not necessary in the Reconciliation view where you are matching your transactions with your bank statement. You'll now find those transactions summarized to show just the Asset account totals, not the Restricted Fund line items.

Reconciliation Filter

In another improvement to Reconciliation, we've added a filter to allow you find transactions easier. Now you can search by Amount, Payee, or Memo and filter the list so that you can find the transaction that is showing up on your bank statement. This should make this tedious process much quicker.

Expanded Transaction Memos

Transaction memos had previously been limited to 32 to characters to ensure they would display on the Account view and print on checks. You can still only print 32 characters on a check, but now you can add as many characters as you need to the transaction. On the Account view, you'll see a truncated memo, but by clicking on it, you can see the whole memo.

General Ledger Report Filters

Finally, to improve searching for a transaction on the General Ledger report, we've alphabetized the account filters (rather than display it in the order of the Chart of Accounts) and added the account number. This will make it easier to find the transaction you are looking for on this view.
