Introduction to the New Attendance Module

Aug 29, 2018 9:00:00 AM

Shepherd’s Staff is currently undergoing one of its largest enhancements in quite a few years. We are redesigning all the modules, and the new Attendance module is now ready. Many of the conventions in the Attendance module will be seen in the redesigns of the other modules.

New Tool Bar

The new tool bar in the Attendance module contains an icon to access the Attendance module, plus features that are shared amongst the Membership, Attendance, and Contributions modules. The plan is to add other modules to this tool bar, allowing you to quickly jump between modules.

Attendance Module Tabs

The new design groups grids, reports, and tools into separate tabs. You can also generate reports in each tab.

The Attendance tab groups together views that show attendance records. Some examples are the Batches view, which shows unposted batches, and the Detail view, which shows posted attendance records.

The Events tab groups together event-related data. Under this tab, you will find the By date view, which shows each event by date with the number of attendees broken down by visitors and non-visitors.

The Reports tab groups together all the specialized attendance reports into a single view. Clicking on one of the reports will change the selection options in the middle of the window. Clicking on Print will allow you to preview your desired report.

The final tab is the Tools/Settings tab. Under this tab, you can find the Combine attendance for two people utility and the Fix attendance posting mistakes utility.

Favorites

The Favorites area is broken down into four sections: Actions, My actions, My views, and My reports. All of the “My” sections can be customized by adding, deleting, renaming, and repositioning saved items.
